Serial Killer Billy Chemirmir Reminded Us That All Deaths of Older Persons Are Not Due to Natural Causes.

Update: Justice sometimes comes in unexpected ways. On September 18, 2023, convicted serial killer Billy Chemirmir was murdered by his cellmate, who was serving time for murder. June 28, 2022. Billy Chemirmir was indicted today for the murders of four more women — Marilyn Bixler, Diane Delahunty, Helen Lee and Mamie Dell Miya.

“These indictments should serve as a reminder that every victim of a violent crime deserves to have their case investigated and prosecuted, and Collin County law enforcement and prosecutors will work every day to hold violent offenders accountable,” Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis said in a written statement.

Update: On April 28, 2022, a Dallas county jury found Billy Chemirmir guilty of the 2018 murder of eighty-one year old Lu Harris. The verdict was received less than an hour after jury deliberation; clearly, the jury didn’t think there was much debate about his guilt. This was a welcome relief to the prosecution who suffered through an 11–1 hung jury in 2021 in spite of the defense not having much to say. He received life in prison without the possibility of parole.
