What a precious child and what a horrifying story. I don't even know what to say except 1) when a parent says repeatedly they can't take care of a child (for whatever reason), it's usually true; 2) I'm all for second chances, but the second time an injury to a child is documented (the cigarette burn), it seems to me something serious needs to be done; 3) how can a child only be taken to school for four days and nothing happen; and 4) I have no doubt that Kristi's life will give her exactly what she deserves, whether she's behind bars or not.
