What a horribly sad story. My heart aches for Christie and her family. It's unbelievable that Chand was allowed to live so close to her upon his release. I also wonder if he got any kind of psychiatric evaluation while he was locked up; threatening to kill yourself should have triggered some alarm bells, no matter what the circumstances.
