Perez Deshay Reed Will Spend His Twenty-Sixth Birthday on November 11 Behind Bars

Twenty-five-year-old Perez Reed has been charged with two murders. Police thinks he has committed six. The good news is that he was stopped quickly; all six murders took place in September and October 2021. Also good news is that he apparently could not function without his favorite shoes, which have linked him to several crime scenes.

The Victims Were Random — Sort of

Sixteen year old Marnay Haynes, killed on September 13, was Perez’s first victim. Just a few days earlier, she was reported as a runaway. He is also responsible for the death of forty-year-old Lester Robinson. A .40 caliber pistol he had with him at the time of his arrest matched shell casings found at four other murders and two other nonfatal shootings in Missouri and Kansas.

He is also suspected of killing forty-nine-year-old Pamela Abercrombie on September 16 and twenty-four year Carey Ross on September 19. Both were killed in St. Louis, as were the two victims for whom he has already been charged. All four had been shot in the head.
