Loved this article. So many interesting (and valid) points about self-help. As a psychologist, I read plenty of self-help articles and psychology research. Lots of good stuff there and some bad advice, too. But I would also add say, even if you're a self-help junkie, don't JUST read self-help. Some of the most savvy info I've learned about spotting future bad relationships have come from sales and negotiation books. I remember reading a particular book years ago and thinking, Damn! My ex turned this sales strategy into a relationship play.
