Let me start by saying I've never heard this (gross) term and have been out of the dating world for years. But it sounds to me like the major problem you're describing has to do with secrecy and deception, not how many people the "roacher" is sleeping with. There are plenty of people who aren't ready to settle down with one person (or want to "settle down" with more than one).
