I appreciated this article and the comments that followed so much. It truly is a personal decision for everyone - and, ideally, a well-thought-out one. At different points in my life, I could have written an "I'll never have kids" perspective and "I wish I'd had mine sooner" one. At various ages, I could have written an "my life is miserable" wail and an "my kids bring me so much joy" sonet. Today, my kids are all out of the house and I am thrilled when they are home to visit and thrilled when my husband and I have time to myself.
