Fascinating story. I'd heard of it before. It sure would have been interesting to be the person doing the psychological evaluations. It's interesting that the conclusion was shared paranoid disorder; this is extremely rare and typically occurs when two individuals are extremely isolated from others (as in living out in the boons or not having any other social contact). It's possible, although extremely sad, to think they might have felt that isolated living with other people. I've interviewed some very sane people who committed some horrific crimes but, in this case, the level of brutality is truly astonishing.
