Fascinating, heartbreaking and frustrating story, Nikki (as all mysteries are). And I do think this case is a mystery. Based on what you've written, I'd put my money on murder; I've conducted psychological autopsies on people who've completed suicide and I have yet to come across one where the person asked a parent to put aside a plate of food for them and promised to be back in thirty minutes. There's always a first for everything, of course, and we don't know what Tanner was thinking. But still . . .
