Convicted Killer Kelly Cochran
Is She a Serial Killer and a Psychopath?

Kelly Marie Cochran is currently serving a life sentence for killing her lover, Chris Regan, in 2014 and her husband, Jason, in 2016. She was convicted in 2018.
I didn’t hear about her, though, until rumors that she might be a female serial killer began to surface. Her own brother, Colton Gaboyan, thinks she is responsible for as many as nine victims. To date, she has not been charged with any other murders, so we don’t know whether those allegations are true.
However, there’s a lot about her we do know. She is smart. She is a drug user. She is a liar. And, if we are to believe her words and those of her family, she is a psychopath.
The Two Murders We Know About
During her trial for Regan’s murder, Kelly’s side of the story was that, on October 14, 2014, she was forced to participate in the murder of her fifty-three-year-old lover, Chris Regan, as the culmination of a “love pact” she and her husband, Jason Cochran, had made thirteen years earlier on their wedding day. Apparently, part of the post-nuptial pillow talk had involved a mutual vow that should either one of them ever have an affair, the lover who had come between them would be killed. Kelly told investigators that, furious over her affair with work colleague Regan, Jason had “forced” her to lure him to the couple’s house with the promise of dinner and sex, where he had been ambushed and shot in the back of the head. Afterwards, she and Jason had cut up Regan’s body in the basement of their home and scattered his remains in several local woods.
This was a convenient explanation as by the time she had been charged with Regan’s murder, Jason Cochran was also dead. On February 20, 2016, a hysterical Kelly dialed 911 and said her husband wasn’t breathing. It was clear to emergency responders that Jason was dead when they arrived, apparently from a drug overdose. Kelly told them that he used heroin to manage chronic back pain and she was afraid he had finally taken too much. Or maybe he committed suicide; did she mention already how depressed her husband was?
Except this wasn’t true. Yes, the Indiana Lake County Coroner had found copious amounts of heroin in Jason Cochran’s…
